Capoferri adopted glue-lamination technology over 40 years ago, becoming the first company in Italy to do so. Rather than applying standard solutions, the company engineered its own patented system, ensuring excellent long-term stability and enabling oversized windows and complex opening types.

The core of Capoferri profiles is made from jointed sections of high-quality timber, allowing craftsmen to select only grade-A material and eliminate defects such as knots. These elements are comb-jointed to form the structural “backbone” of the profile and bonded with outer layers of the same timber quality (typically Red Oak, Sipo/Sapele Mahogany, Red Cedar, or Teak).

In operable elements, jambs and transoms are connected through triple-shaped joints, providing superior mechanical strength. All joints are produced using high-precision machinery to ensure perfect assembly and sealing.

The sash features a 20 mm rebate for insulating or safety glass, with a EURO-type groove for silicone sealant. Glazing beads are mechanically fixed with screws or headless nails.

Glazing thickness ranges from 21 mm to 36 mm for SC80 and can reach up to 50 mm for SC100, depending on performance requirements.

Capoferri sources insulating glass units from leading European manufacturers, ensuring high thermal, acoustic, and security performance. STDL (Simulated True Divided Lite) bars can be integrated within the glazing cavity for enhanced aesthetics.

Capoferri designs and manufactures its own hardware to overcome the limitations of standard systems. Features include adjustable hinges on ball bearings, flush solid metal strike plates, and multipoint locking systems. All components are produced in stainless steel (with bronze cover plates), ensuring durability and high performance.

Special limiters provide secure ventilation for casement systems, while the system can be developed in a wide variety of opening types, including hinged, sliding, pivot, and custom configurations.

Gaskets are made of UV- and weather-resistant synthetic materials. Installation is carried out by pressure along the entire perimeter, with welded corners for maximum tightness and stability.

Dedicated drainage and threshold solutions, including silicone-based drip profiles and thermally broken sill systems, ensure effective water management and durability over time.

SC80/100 systems achieve top UNI certification classes for air permeability, water tightness, and wind resistance, along with high levels of thermal and acoustic performance.

Capoferri’s laboratory is equipped for certified air, water, and wind testing, ensuring that each system meets the required performance levels according to its specific configuration.

Capoferri has extensive experience in historic building restoration across Italy and internationally. Each intervention includes careful analysis of existing structures, with the possibility of restoring original hardware and reproducing traditional proportions while integrating modern performance.
