PTM BituFlex is a strong and flexible roofing felt that can be adapted to even the most difficult shapes found in exciting architectural constructions. This roofing felt is an overlying felt, i.e. it is used as the top layer in single or multi-layer roofing in new roofing and renovation projects where a roofing with good elastic properties and a long service life is desired.
The top sheet is advantageously used in projects that must be carried out at low working temperatures or where there may be movement in the substrate. The product is also used in renovation projects where there is particularly high water load and where complete roof drainage is not possible.
The roofing felt is fully welded or spot welded to the substrate, and it can be used down to -15°C (Product temperature). PTM BituFlex' product information is declared to Nordic Ecolabelling New Construction, cf. generation 3 and 4. The product is not certified with the Nordic Ecolabel.
The product is a polymer membrane with polyester felt reinforcement, impregnated with bitumen. It is then coated on the top and bottom with SBS polymer bitumen.The top side is sprinkled with natural slate granules. This protects against the sun's ultraviolet rays. The underside is coated with a thin foil that prevents sticking together during storage and transport.The membrane has extremely good mechanical and elastic properties that are maintained in the cold. If you want the product with an adhesive edge, this is 85 mm wide and sprinkled with sand.
