1090 Franklin Avenue

Meltzer Mandl Architects PC as Architects

Constructed through the 421a tax abatement program, in concert with the NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development and NYC HDC LAMP guidelines, this project created 63 units of affordable rental housing and parking for 21 vehicles.

Overall building bulk was achieved through a specific design strategy aimed at yielding a maximum available development envelope for residential use.

The gently curved masonry façade of the 11-story building, which rises to 108 feet, was expertly built by local contractor, Herrera Bros. Construction. The building includes a rooftop residential terrace and storage facilities.
