Anima House

'Anima' means a feminine element in male unconsciousness, which is a kind of deposition of everything that men have experienced about women from generation to generation. In other words, it is a feminine element transmitted from the psychological tendencies hidden in men's minds, such as various feelings and moods, predictive sixth sense, sensitivity to irrational things, personal love ability, feelings for nature, and relationships with unconsciousness.

Because of the Anima in men, men don't see realistic women when they see women, but rather see goddesses seen from their unconsciousness. Anima is sometimes projected onto ideology or matter. When it comes to the fourth stage of Anima's development, the first is Eve, an instinctive and biological female image. The second is the sexual image of a romantic and aesthetic level, and the third image is eros which was avoided by the spiritual devotion expressed in the Holy Mary. The fourth stage is Mona Lisa statue, the holy and purest wisdom.

Anima is Latin term that corresponds to German 'seele'. This means 'psychological soul,' which means the psychological reality of the unconsciousness that simulates consciousness. Anima, along whigh Animus, is also referred to as an arbitrator of consciousness and unconsciousness. Carl Gustav Jung (psychiatrist, Switzerland)  noted that everyon has genter characteristics opposite to their biological characteristics as an inner personality. In other words, there is feminine personality (Anima) in men's unconsciousness, and a masculine personality (Animus) in women's unconsciousness. Therefore, Anima has characteristics such as femininity (delicate emotions, self-consciousness, and foreboding ability, etc.). Carl Gustav Jung described Anima as a component of collecive unconsciousness that transcends the realm of individual unconsciousness.

Carl Gustav Jung chose Anima and Animus an archetype among archetypes of the image. He said that Anima has tendency which is more dreamy, softer, and goes down further into the depths of human psychology. Anima is a feminine tendency that exists in men, and Animus is a masculine tendency that exists in women.
