The project is located in a multi-family house in Mortsel. It is an interior design project in which the interior furniture was included.
The existing qualities of the apartment are a the dimensions of the existing spaces and the generous light. What was still missing was a relationship between the different living spaces. From this design ambition, a floor plan is created where two new connections are created: between kitchen & living space I between office and living space.
Between desk and living space, a desk unit is designed, which on one side provides an extendable furniture, and on the other side a TV cabinet. An additional step on the desk space emphasizes the spatial transition. On the kitchen side, the existing doorway is closed, and a widened opening is provided more centrally in the space.
