The apartment is part of a 16th century building located in the heart of the historic center of Aversa, one of the oldest Norman rooted city in Caserta's province.
The main aims of CASAsanFELICE’s project was thought enhance the spacious interiors that follow each other, through a free layout and the use of movable partitions.

The different environments were designed as if they were a single space that when needed could easily change its configuration. The living room, the dining room, the kitchen, the study and the winter garden are spatially and visually merged all together, but at the same time they can close in their intimacy through colored glass sliding doors. The opening of large gates in the existing walls favors the light expansion. Light that is able to penetrate inside the apartment from several openings facing both street side and internal courtyard, allowing a great and harmonious light diffusion. The flooring was designed as a single large surface that accentuates and strengthens the concept of "unique environment".

In this context, the handcrafted oak furnishings play a fundamental role. They are dividing elements that integrate perfectly with the spaces and give a contemporary character to the historic environment. The bookcases are designed with the idea of transmitting dynamism and warmth to all spaces, while the wardrobes are designed to blend in with the coverings, becoming almost invisible. Especially in the master bathroom, the wood plays a fundamental role, remarking the structural lines, while the cut vault is a clear reference to the great vault to see of the living.

Antique and contemporary are confluently merged together, especially thanks to the different design objects, chosen ad hoc to highlight the wide spaces and the great heights.
CASAsanFELICE is a project entirely focused on the function of light within a home and on the conversion to new life of an ancient place through a contemporary design.
