The project is located in the heart of the Sancerre wine region, in Chavignol. The owner, a wine producer, entrusted the agency with the design and construction of his family home, conceived as a living space that is both intimate and open to the landscape. The hillside site offers exceptional views of the slopes where the client's vineyards extend. This rich and soothing view guided the design of the spaces from the outset.
The house, nurtured by this environment, is organized around visual openings and large windows that bring the landscape inside. The project unfolds over two levels and includes four bedrooms. The pronounced topography of the land dictated significant work to integrate the house into the slope. The three interior and exterior staircases appear as pivotal architectural points connecting the volumes and spaces.
The house has several unique features reflecting the client's personality and profession. It notably incorporates a wine bar and a tasting area. The project showcases local artisans and materials. Meticulous work was carried out on the stonework and custom metalwork, with the project also incorporating interior design.
