INTERIOR OF THE MAISONETTE APARTMENT

The construction plan dealt with layout changes and interior design in a duplex apartment in a new apartment building. The original layout included a living room with kitchen, a dining area on the lower floor and three bedrooms in the attic with a generous terrace. The original solution from the developer did not suit the clients, in addition, they demanded to place the main social space in the attic to the terrace. From the original design, only the staircase remained, everything else was rearranged. The corridors were eliminated, two comfortable bathrooms were designed, and the entire upper floor was rearranged so that all rooms had access to the terrace. The staircase, as a wooden element, opens directly into the living room and its morphology anticipates the play of wooden cubes and chessboards on the upper floor. The entire space on the upper floor can be extended by opening the partition into the guest room. The predominant material is wood on the furniture or floor in combination with a decorative resin trowel, which plays a leading role in the entire interior. The three-dimensional wooden frames are made of solid oak chips. Everything is tailor-made, from the folding partition of the guest room to the detail of the conical handles. The whole interior is carried in the spirit of aesthetic interpretation somewhere between Europe and Asia, exactly as it was in the lives of clients and our common communication.
