William Garvey Ltd as Manufacturers

British Furniture Designers & Makers, William Garvey, were commissioned to design and make a range of bespoke furniture for an outstanding new build property set in the largely rural coastal region of South West England for a long-term client and Interior Designer.

William Garvey Furniture Makers surveyed this project, along with working drawings, manufacture, polishing, installation, materials and delivery.

Given clear directive, it was important for William Garvey to create quality pieces of furniture in line with the clients designs and this included:

Dine

Dining Table: available for flat-pack delivery and home installation

·        Slab Dining Table in Crown Oak veneer which was slip matched and features two slightly angled legs made from Tulipwood

·        The table with dark grey stained top includes a core of aluminium honeycomb for the height of strength and durability, and to support its impressive 2500mm length. It is creatively made so the table top appears to ‘rest’ on the two slab legs below to allow for a greater overhang at each end

·        The entire piece of furniture was made in ‘tension’ so the weight of the top natural holds the complete dining table together as one piece

Credenza

·        Walnut veneered sideboard with a partially painted finish

·        This practical dining cupboard features two doors and three drawers, all operated on a soft close latch system

Relax

Living Room Bookcase

·        Twin set bookcase acting as a clever room divide between the living and dining areas

·        Made of American walnut with lacquered finish

·        Each bookcase features two built-in drawers and five open shelves which are fitted with LED strip lighting that is both practical and aesthetically pleasing

Study

Office Shelving

·        Organisation to the extreme, this office space includes a series of staggered pigeon holes that run the length of the wall and are painted white to reflect light around the room

·        Adjacent to the display shelving is a coordinating cupboard unit with fixed shelf and five adjustable shelves

Desk

·        A generous writing desk with leather desktop fitted with cable flaps, grommets and integral pen tray

·        Walnut end panels and three-drawer central pedestal for stability and balance of design

Sleep

Bedroom Wardrobes

·        Fitted wardrobe arrangement consisting of four carcases [1] unit with full-height hanging cupboard [2] unit with adjustable shelves and four drawers [3] unit with double height hanging above [4] overhead storage unit that runs the full length horizontally

·        Drawers are made in American walnut with Oak interior

Headboard with integral Bedside Cabinets

·        American walnut Headboard with integral upholstery

·        Affixed modular beside cabinets with pull-out walnut drawers with oak interior

Wash

Bathroom Vanity Unit

·        Painted white Vanity unit made of Tulipwood and featuring two base drawers

Specialists in the craft of working with wood, William Garvey exploits the advantages of bespoke furniture by tailoring it to the needs of the individual and the space it will occupy. The furniture will last for generations.
