Monument House is a residential concept developed around a simple question: what happens when a home is organized around what is removed rather than what is added?

Rather than beginning with accumulation, more rooms, more square footage, or more visual complexity, the project explores reduction as a spatial strategy. At its center is a void: an interior garden that acts not as a feature, but as the organizing principle for the entire residence.

Every decision within Monument House is structured around this central condition. Circulation, views, privacy, light, and sequence are all shaped through the relationship between built form and absence. The result is a home designed around clarity rather than excess.

The approach sequence introduces a process of compression and release, creating moments of transition before arrival. Materials are used intentionally to reinforce atmosphere and restraint, allowing the experience of the home to unfold gradually rather than reveal itself all at once.

Developed through BLOU INK’s methodology of spatial psychology and intentional living, Monument House reflects the belief that homes should be designed around how people live, restore, and experience space—not simply how they appear.
