Coop Gerritsma Heeg is the first shop - following Coop's merger with PLUS - to switch to the new formula.
The new location is some 300 square metres larger. As a result, there is more space for fruit and vegetables, and the bread department is also expanded. They will also keep a local assortment; for example, we will continue to sell bread from the baker around the corner. And we will greatly expand our fair trade and organic range. So customers will soon have much more choice." said owner Richard Langeland.
The new shop is built according to PLUS's new Brilliant 2.0 formula, which focuses on good food, for everyone, every day. With fresh products, attractive presentation and offers on the shop floor. The transition from Coop to PLUS is a change, although much also remains familiar and the same.
During the construction of the new building, various sustainable applications were chosen, such as a sedum roof. In addition, the building will be completely natural gas-free, as it will be heated with residual heat from the refrigerators.
For the façade, a well-balanced choice of materials was chosen in which brickwork is alternated with custom Creneo Block 50 profiles by ArcelorMittal Specials, developed in collaboration with the architect and MSP. In addition to the shape of these special Creneo profiles, the colour was also matched to match the requirements.
