Self-sufficientIs a worn out wordand nobody will be able and want to be so completely.
In Ramwald, in the municipality of St. Lorenzen we have built a small settlement, in the style of the Ladin hamlets. It stands on a clearing in the middle of the forest.
It consists of seven houses and one apartment. The houses were built on concrete foundations and made of wood. All of them meet the climate house standard A.Far more exciting, however, is where the rest you need to live comes from.
The air in the forest is good
The view is phenomenal
The water from the own springs is considered healing water and is enjoyed treated.
Heating is done with wood in the house's own stoves
and with a central wood heating, to which the houses are connected.
The houses are built in two rows. The front houses cantilever over the steeply sloping hillside, the rear houses are like small towers - stretching up into the air, looking between and above the front houses.
An enjoyable almost self-sufficient result.
