In this 300m² apartment, home to a couple and their two dogs, the NJ+ created a cozy space filled with subtle details. Located in Vila Madalena, São Paulo, the project blends different wood tones with a vibrant green in the kitchen — the heart of the home. This striking hue, featured in both the cabinetry and countertop, transforms the space into a truly sensory experience.
In the social area, the open living room features a muxarabi portal in Cabreúva wood veneer that conceals a charming atelier. This space connects the concrete ceiling, bringing a lively and relaxed feel without compromising on sophistication. The Apolo dining table from Micasa, paired with the Tião chairs by Sergio Rodrigues, is further enhanced by the Flotation pendant lamp by Ingo Maurer — a light, sculptural piece that floats like a suspended work of art.
The balcony maintains the warm atmosphere with the abundant use of wood. The Majorica armchairs and the solid wood coffee table integrate seamlessly with the surrounding greenery, creating a pleasant spot to relax, chat, and enjoy the sunset.
The kitchen is not only beautiful but also functional. The Vivid Green quartzite countertop matches the cabinetry, infusing the space with color and energy. At the residents request, it connects to the living area, but can also be closed off with sliding wood panel doors, offering flexibility for daily use.
In the private quarters, the original floor plan was reconfigured to expand the master suite, which now features Peroba Mica flooring and custom cabinetry in natural Cabreúva. The redesign also introduced a new walk-in closet and two separate bathrooms for the couple. Additionally, the apartment includes a guest bedroom and a home office.
