Visualization by 100CGI Studio for Morgan Lovell on The Hickman, the repositioning of Cityside House in Aldgate, London. The building offers 78,000 sq ft over three floors, and the agents had to market it while it still looked like the old building.
Repositioning is a perception problem before it is a construction one. The answer was a digital twin built in 3ds Max and V-Ray, holding the existing industrial fabric next to the new smart-building services. It was delivered as a 360 tour with 116 camera
positions that runs on a phone, together with 6 stills from the same model, in 28 days.
Scale changed the arithmetic less than expected. The model is built once, so each extra floor adds camera positions and render time rather than a second build. What the project bought from CGI was certainty: a way to walk a tenant through a construction site and show the finish they would be signing for.
