After more than six years of planning and dialogue, and several unsuccessful attempts with previous consultants. Værløse Golfklub has finally realised its ambition to expand and transform its existing clubhouse.

Through a close and continuous dialogue with the club, we have worked to optimise both the architectural concept and the overall project economy, with the ambition of creating maximum value within the given framework.

As client advisor and architect, Blokk, in close collaboration with HK Entreprise, has developed a project that brings the Pro Shop, member and guest services, and administration together under one roof: Shared Reception — a new shared reception and service centre for the club.

Serving approximately 1,150 members and 30,000 annual visitors, the new facility also incorporates meeting spaces and informal lounge areas. The programme is conceived not only to improve the everyday functionality of the clubhouse, but also to strengthen interaction, hospitality and a sense of community.

The building is designed to accommodate a high level of daily use, with a strong emphasis on robustness, durability and long-term performance. Material choices and architectural solutions are therefore carefully considered to withstand the demands of a busy clubhouse environment while maintaining a welcoming and coherent architectural expression.
