About Acoustic
Acoustic is used for its sound insulation properties and is available as Plank, Tile and Wool felt (sheets). Each type of product, pattern and build-up has its own characteristics in terms of absorption.
Acoustic products are standard available in Birch, Beech, Oak, Pine, Pine/Ocoumé, Meranti, Ocoumé, Poplar and Deal in one veneer thickness, and a variable thickness of the substrate.
Our materials are produced on demand to meet your specific technical or sustainability requirements, specials are made at request. Plexwood is, for instance, suitable for homes, restaurants, offices, schools, health care, institutions, airports and retail environment.
Acoustic range
Acoustic - Plank is a 3-layer wood product, consisting of an mdf substrate with a Plexwood veneer on one side, an acoustic fleece on the reverse side, tongue and groove and complementary installation system, Plank is provided with a pattern of linear grooves with slots.
Acoustic - Tile is a 3-layer wood product, consisting of an mdf substrate with a Plexwood veneer on one side, an acoustic fleece on the reverse side, groove and slip tongue connection and complementary installation system, Tile is provided with a pattern of perforations.
Acoustic - Wool felt is a 2- or 3-layer wood product, consisting of a 100% natural wool felt layer and a Plexwood veneer on one side, or a substrate with an intermediate layer of wool felt and a Plexwood veneer on one side; both variations have a linear groove pattern exposing the wool felt. The 2-layer variety is extremely flexible, suitable for inward and outward curves of a 50 mm radius, whereas the 3-layer variety is rigid. The layer of wool felt gives these sheets an acoustic quality, and they can also be chosen for their aesthetics, as the wool felt is available in a variety of colours.
