About Plexwood

Plexwood is an innovative interior design veneer, composed of end grain wood and with the grain veneers, which give the product a clear linear structure.

Plexwood can be used for floors, walls, ceilings, staircases, furniture, and company logos, amongst many other conceptual applications.

End grain wood, one of the main components of Plexwood, is harder than regular cut wood, making Plexwood products suitable for high traffic environments like public spaces, office, retail, education and health care environments.

In our production we do not use formaldehyde based glue or volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Plexwood can meet almost any sustainability standard or certification.

Available in 12 products: Strip, Parquet strip, Plank, Tile, Panel one-sided, Panel two-sided, Panel flexible, Geometric, Acoustic, Solid, Profile and Special and in 9 kinds of wood: Birch, Beech, Oak, Pine, Pine/Ocoumé, Meranti, Ocoumé, Poplar and Deal.

About Geometric

Geometric is a 2-layer wood product, consisting of a substrate with a Plexwood veneer on one side.
Normally Plexwood is composed of 0- and 90-degree lines that can run both over the length and width of a panel or flooring product. What happens when these lines are angled in 15, 30, 45 or 0/90, +15/-15, +30/-30, +45/-45 degrees? New surfaces appear, creating inspiring and unlimited possibilities.

The graphic patterns that were developed for Plexwood - Geometric are based on classic mathematical principles that are both at the core of Oriental mosaic art and architectural grids, with its repeating patterns, tessallations and M.C. Escher-like optical illusions, Geometric can be applied endlessly, on every scale and in every direction.

Geometric is available in Diagonal, Square, Rectangle, Herringbone, Parallelogram and Trapezium.

Depending on the pattern, Geometric is as standard available as Plank, Tile and Panel one-sided, with two veneer thicknesses.

Characteristics wall, ceiling in metric dimensions:

Geometric is available in a variation suitable for walls and ceilings, in that case an mdf substrate is most common, in combination with a veneer of 2.5 mm Plexwood.

Geometric - Panel one-sided
Geometric – Panel one-sided for wall, ceiling and furniture is, apart from the standard veneer 0° long grain (l) = 2400 mm or 90° cross grain (l) =  > 1200 mm, available in the geometric patterns diagonal 15°, 30°, 45°, square, rectangle, herringbone, parallelogram and trapezium based on veneer directions 0°/90°, +15°/-15°, +30°/-30° and +45°/-45°.
The standard measurement is ± 2400 x 1200 x 14.5 (12 mdf + 2.5 Plexwood) mm. The exact size of the panel depends on the chosen pattern and angle. The overall thickness of a panel is between 5.5 > 56.5 mm. Geometric - Panel is delivered filled and sanded 80-grit.

Standard dimensions (for walls and ceilings), l x w x t:

Geometric Panel-one sided: ± 2400 x 1200 x 14.5 (12 mdf + 2.5 Plexwood) mm

Characteristics wall, ceiling in imperial dimensions:

Geometric is available in a variation suitable for walls and ceilings, in that case an mdf substrate is most common, in combination with a veneer of 0.10” Plexwood.

Geometric - Panel one-sided
Geometric – Panel one-sided for wall, ceiling and furniture is, apart from the standard veneer 0° long grain (l) = 94.49” or 90° cross grain (l) =  > 47.24”, available in the geometric patterns diagonal 15°, 30°, 45°, square, rectangle, herringbone, parallelogram and trapezium based on veneer directions 0°/90°, +15°/-15°, +30°/-30° and +45°/-45°.
The standard measurement is ± 94.49” x 47.24” x 0.57” (0.47” mdf + 0.10 Plexwood) mm. The exact size of the panel depends on the chosen pattern and angle. The overall thickness of a panel is between 0.22” > 2.22”. Geometric - Panel is delivered filled and sanded 80-grit.

Standard dimensions (for walls and ceilings), l x w x t:

Geometric -Panel -one sided: ± 94.49” x 47.24” x 0.57” (0.47” mdf + 0.10” Plexwood)

Characteristics staircase, podium in metric dimensions:
Geometric is also available in a variation suitable for staircase and podium, in that case a plywood substrate is most common, in combination with a veneer of 4.5 mm Plexwood.

Geometric - Panel one-sided
Panel one-sided for staircase and podium is, apart from the standard veneer 0° long grain (l) = 2400 mm or 90° cross grain (l) = 1200 mm, available in the geometric patterns diagonal 15°, 30°, 45°, square/rectangle 0°/90°, herringbone +15°/-15°, +30°/-30° and +45°/-45°, parallelogram and trapezium based on veneer in +15°/-15°, +30°/-30° and +45°/-45°.
The standard measurement is ± 2400 x 1200 x 16.5 (12 plywood + 4.5 Plexwood) mm. The exact size of the panel depends on the chosen pattern and angle. Geometric - Panel is delivered filled and sanded 80-grit. A plywood substrate is necessary when this product is used for staircase and podium because of the strength of the material as opposed to for instance mdf.

Standard dimensions (for staircase and podium), l x w x t:
Geometric - Panel-one sided: ± 2400 x 1200 x 16.5 (12 plywood + 4.5 Plexwood) mm

Characteristics staircase and podium in imperial dimensions:
Geometric is also available in a variation suitable for staircase and podium, in that case a plywood substrate is most common, in combination with a veneer of 0.18” Plexwood.

Geometric - Panel one-sided
Panel one-sided for staircase and podium is, apart from the standard veneer 0° long grain (l) = 94.49” or 90° cross grain (l) = 47.24”, available in the geometric patterns diagonal 15°, 30°, 45°, square/rectangle 0°/90°, herringbone +15°/-15°, +30°/-30° and +45°/-45°, parallelogram and trapezium based on veneer in +15°/-15°, +30°/-30° and +45°/-45°.
The standard measurement is ± 94.49” x 47.24” x 0.65” (0.47” plywood + 0.18” Plexwood). The exact size of the panel depends on the chosen pattern and angle. Geometric - Panel is delivered filled and sanded 80-grit. A plywood substrate is necessary when this product is used for stairscase and podium because of the strength of the material as opposed to for instance mdf.

Standard dimensions (for staircase and podium), l x w x t:
Geometric - Panel - one sided: ± 94.49” x 47.24” x 0.65” (0.47” plywood + 0.18” Plexwood)
