CERO III is an award-winning sliding window system that provides everything needed for architecturally sophisticated buildings from a practical and creative standpoint. With its slim frames and profiles, the system provides maximum transparency to the elements. Advantages
The system allows for great design freedom for architecturally demanding buildings. It features concealed sub-frames that can be easily incorporated into the floor, wall, and ceiling, giving a symmetrical and minimalist design emphasized by 98% glass. The system is tested and can be certified to the highest security standards with a 2-point rod locking system, adjustable locking points, and a hub of 24 mm in the upper running and guide rails as standard. It can also be fitted with connections for alarm installations or reporting systems.
CERO III can move glass elements up to 15 m² in area and 1,000 kg in weight effortlessly and silently. It also provides excellent thermal insulation, triple glazing, and a panel depth of 72 mm. It achieves Uw values of up to 0.80 W/m²K, fulfilling passive house standards.
Installations
The sliding elements can also be fitted with a fully automated operating system, including electro-mechanical locking and unlocking. Multiple panels can be independently controlled via a control unit. System components in the form of sliding, fixed, and corner elements can be installed in almost any combination for the realization of different ground plans. Equipment that meets anti-burglary protection classes RC2 and RC3 is available as an option.

Color
CERO III profiles can be ordered in any desired color. Even two distinct colors can be chosen, one for the interior and another for the exterior. A selection of RAL or DB powder coatings, Eloxal coatings compliant with EURAS standards, or a variety of our specialist colors available upon request are offered.
Glazing
Depending on the chosen variant, CERO III will come with either triple or double-toughened single-panel safety glass (ESG).
Handles
CERO III comes with a high-quality, brushed V4A stainless steel handle as standard to guarantee maximum protection against corrosion.
Accessibility
CERO III is produced with a flush-fitted floor track to ensure accessibility per DIN 18040. The profile depth varies depending on how many tracks are required.
Sample configurations
The combination of options for CERO III sliding, fixed and corner elements are almost limitless. They provide an astounding degree of creative freedom in terms of design and are suitable for any floor plan. The system is designed to meet challenging demands in terms of providing the lowest possible Uw values. It comes equipped with toughened single-pane safety glass (ESG) as standard. To cater to the highest design requirements, CERO III also offers a moveable corner solution and an all-glass corner.
The sliding elements have a maximum width of 4 meters and a maximum height of 6 meters, while the fixed glazing has a maximum width of 4 meters and a maximum height of 6 meters. The maximum panel size for both is 15 square meters.
The insulating glass measures 48-54 mm (ESG) or 50 mm standard. The proportion of glass to daylight is 98%. The sliding technology is comprised of carriages and slide rails made of stainless steel. The maximum panel weight is 1,000 kg, and the visible width circumferential is 34 mm. The frame height is 79 mm and there is thermal separation in both the frame and panel profile.
Intelligent drainage
Draining takes place in a hidden and controlled manner at the lowest level of the frame section. The glass rebate ventilation avoids condensation in the space between the panes.
High-end thermal insulation
CERO III offers optimal thermal insulation. Its triple-toughened glass version achieves Uw values in the region of 0,8 W/m2K, suitable for use in passive houses.
Wind and weather protection
CERO III is tested and certified for air permeability, wind load, and driving rain impermeability, thus exceeding the high demands for protection from wind and weather.
Integrated security technology
CERO III can be optimally integrated into an existing, overriding surveillance system. Electro-mechanical locking elements are available on request, with the option of additional lock monitoring.
Motorized drive
The sliding elements can be fitted with a fully automated operating system including electro-mechanical locking and unlocking, which offers the user interdependent control of several panels via a control unit.
Shading
CERO III offers two options to provide optimum shade for large glass surfaces: a motor-driven sun-protection system with guide rails to fit the frame or a built-in slatted sun shade.
Insect protection
Insect protection can be integrated into the frame up to a width of 1,30 m. The maximum height is 3 m for the CERO II and up to 3,5 m for the CERO III.

An architectural photography studio in Blankenberg incorporated cero III sliding windows by Solarlux located in Blankenberg, Germany. The client, a renowned architectural photographer, sought a unique workspace that integrated with the village's aesthetic, characterized by half-timbered buildings and natural materials. Architect firm Nebel Pössl achieved this by using traditional materials like greywacke stone and oakwood with a modern twist. The key architectural feature is a two-story, panoramic glass facade overlooking the valley. This serves a dual purpose: functioning as a giant "viewfinder," reflecting the photographic art within, while simultaneously inviting the natural beauty into the building.
To maximize transparency and create the desired viewfinder effect, the architects opted for cero III sliding windows from Solarlux. With impressive dimensions - on the garden level, a single sliding window stretches 5.7 meters long and 3.3 meters high. A new restaurant and wine house for Weingut Kopp in Sinzheim, Germany, features cero sliding windows from Solarlux. The winery wanted to create a modern, sustainable space that complemented its commitment to innovation and quality. The building has a weathering steel facade, chosen for its durability and aesthetic appeal.
Inside, expansive views of the Rhine Valley are visible through strategically placed windows. The architect incorporated three cero sliding window systems from Solarlux. Each system features two motorized sliding panels that can fully retract into a designated pocket, allowing for a total opening width of twelve meters across the south facade. This configuration creates an unobstructed indoor-outdoor experience that dissolves the physical separation between the two dining areas. The cero system utilizes low-wear stainless steel running tracks for smooth operation and integrated rollers within the window frames that ensure even load distribution. The dark bronze frames were chosen to complement the overall design aesthetic.
The Spreewald woodland outside of Berlin explores the use of Cero III sliding windows by Solarlux in a weekend getaway cabin. The project aimed to integrate modern design with traditional Spreewald architecture, adhering to the cradle-to-cradle philosophy. The design incorporates a 50° thatched roof, typical window sizes, and larch wood casing on the south facade, aligning with the local building code.
The architects opted for cero sliding windows from Solarlux to achieve the desired transparency. These windows have impressive dimensions – nearly 3 meters tall and feature a maximum width of 3.8 meters. Their columnless structure allows for a vast opening on the northwest corner, exceeding 15 square meters.
