Puerta del Mar House

Mas Millet Arquitectos as Architects

After the birth of their second child, they decided to move closer to the city center. They were also looking to gain more space, storage, large terraces to enjoy the good weather in Valencia, as well as spacious and interconnected multipurpose areas. This is the essence of this turnkey comprehensive renovation project, and the rationale behind the design, execution of the work, furnishing, and decoration of Casa Puerta del Mar by Mas Millet Arquitectos.

The initial state of the apartment was an old, poorly maintained unit in its original condition, which had been partially adapted to create as many rooms as possible for the purpose of renting to students.

In this residence, spaces were created from the beginning with a joint vision of architecture and interior design, to maximize functional and aesthetic value, seeking balance in colors, lighting, and chosen materials.

The apartment has been equipped with an intelligent control system for lighting, motorized blinds and shades, as well as air conditioning, all of which can be controlled via an application or voice commands.

To give it a touch of "contemporary and balanced luxury" (as requested by the client), unique pieces of natural marble and golden touches in lighting and decorative accessories have been incorporated.

The mix of noble materials in the architecture along with custom-made furniture, wall coverings, silk and linen fabrics, polished marbles, and a well-chosen selection of decorative accessories such as flowers, candles, paintings, and sculptures make the home what it was intended to be from the start: a stylish, comfortable, and elegant home.
