In this project we carried out a complete transformation of a two-level residence, reshaping it to suit the daily life of a large family. With three children, the owners were searching for a welcoming, practical, and customized home. They acquired an apartment to renovate, where the new layout became essential to maximize the available surface and bring natural light into the darker areas.
The daytime zone becomes the true core of the home, arranged in two spaces connected through wall openings: a generous and comfortable living room designed for both rest and social gatherings, and a dining area seamlessly linked to the kitchen. The concept encourages interaction while ensuring the independence of each environment, achieving a balance between functionality and comfort in everyday life.
The kitchen reflects a refined and timeless character, with cabinetry featuring panelled doors, golden handles, and a layout in “L” form with a central island that enhances practicality. To lighten the composition, some cabinets were designed with glass fronts, perfect for displaying tableware, books, or decorative pieces.
The primary bedroom becomes the owners’ private retreat, complemented by a parallel walk-in closet that leads straight into the en suite bathroom. This space integrates a shower, bathtub, and a toilet discreetly hidden behind a translucent door, offering both privacy and sophistication.
The hallway also reveals a striking element: a guest bathroom concealed within a paneled wall in green with mouldings, creating a lively contrast against the predominantly neutral palette.
Aesthetically, the overall renovation embraces a classic atmosphere. Symmetry, mouldings, and traditional details give the design its distinctive identity, paired with furnishing choices that echo a classical language and reinforce the harmonious character of the home.
