Our client lives in a beautiful location in the middle of the country, with two old horse stables on her property. Her wish was to convert these stables into a practice space combined with a guesthouse.
On the water and in the middle of the greenery, it had to be a nice and quiet place to stay. The horse stables were characteristic but upon closer inspection not suitable for reuse. And so we designed a new building on the same site, but with a larger surface area.
It had to be a space that would be suitable for both working and living, with a bathroom, large windows for maximum light and of course well insulated. We were able to incorporate these wishes into the unique design. We chose burnt wood and accoya on the outside.
