Patio Housing is part of an urban regeneration process of a courtyard in a typical block of the residential suburbs of south-east Milan. The existing building was a car repairing shop dated back to 1940, a one-story concrete building with a vaulted roof.
The new building is spread over two floors above ground and one underground and is generated by an alternation of solid and voids, which allows the new housing units to overlook exclusively private patios. Some Lapalma elements have been selected to furnish the interiors. For the dining room, a FORK table with a round top was chosen to match the MIUNN chairs in black baydur. For the outdoor area, a PLUS outdoor sofa has been combined with three KIPU poufs of different sizes.
