Place des Nations Condominiums - Phase I (LEED Gold)

Located at the heart of the Bois-Franc community, in the borough of Saint-Laurent in Montreal, the first of three phases of the residential project Place des Nations, makes a strong statement with its modern look and the purity of its lines.

Covering an area of 5500 m2, this five-storey building houses 34 units ranging from 75 to 315 m2. The windows in each unit are abundant and extend through loggias, balconies or terraces, offering spectacular views of the Mount Royal as well as the Linear Park of Bois-Franc. The roof leads to different levels, offering landscaped outdoor common areas with in-ground swimming pools, thus allowing residents to socialize in a privileged environment.

The lobby, being the signature style of the project, opens upon two levels and strikes the eye with its fresh contemporary style right from the first glance. The design concept guidelines based on size, facade treatment, as well as a judicious choice of materials, make for a contrasting yet harmonious integration into the neighbourhood environment.

The strong collaboration between all involved in the project, the aim to attain outstanding quality in the execution of the project and the environmental awareness of the design and production teams, have enabled the project to achieve LEED Gold certification and to obtain recognition from the U.S. Green Building Council as being the residential building with the highest level of airtightness in North America.

The combination of wood with exposed concrete surfaces and built-in glossy furniture give each unit a character that is both urban and contemporary. To continue in the same style, the choice of clay bricks in warm tones, the stones and metal sidings outside the showcases, enhance the refined architecture treatment of each of the facades. The landscape, in addition, supports the volume measurement of the building and follows perfectly the landscape design guidelines.
