Slaughterhouse becomes city gallery

Ostrava’s former municipal slaughterhouse is located in the once densely populated part of the city, which has many gaps and forms part of the City Centre. The listed building dates back to the late 19th century. The filigree steel profiles from the Janisol range were used for the exterior windows. The Janisol 2 EI30 fire doors and Jansen Economy 50 were installed on the inside. All these profiles fulfil the highest static and aesthetic requirements.

The different dimensions and geometries of the windows posed a particular challenge, as they were largely used in the old window reveals, but also in the new parts of the building.
