The Lever Building, located in Clerkenwell, London, provides 2,800sqm of flexible office accommodation over five floors in a refurbished tobacco warehouse. Original structures and architectural details were retained and complemented by the use of exposed services elements, industrial finishes and an eclectic mix of furniture to bring a unique character to the interior.
The finished working environment incorporates a variety of different work settings to support varied working patterns. The carefully considered spaces range from private telephone booths to open spaces for presentations and events, encouraging staff collaboration and dynamic, creative productivity.
Team table workstations were developed specifically for the needs of the end user. The numerous mobile elements for storage, the writing walls and TVs all support the high level of flexibility required. Our client invested in bespoke furniture items and fittings that were beautifully crafted by specialist contractors.
This workplace provides the flexibility our client needs to attract talented staff, accommodate constantly changing team sizes and support creativity.
The scheme was a regional finalist at the BCO Awards 2016.
