The library’s owner loves the city for its dynamism, possibilities and energy, but at the same time, he seeks peace and tranquillity.
A protected, spacious, quiet, and bright place where he can read, get inspired, and, most importantly, write. The perfect place that an artist needs to find those moments of intense work and inspiration.
The house is the union of 4 floors of an existing building, converted into a single house. The challenge was to unify these spaces initially which were office floors, later transformed it to individual homes, and finally make it one.
We started from a previous intervention, in which part of the spaces had already been unified and we wanted to give it material continuity, while reordering the hierarchy of spaces, demolishing floors, opening triple spaces, and we gave it an interior dynamism in general,that valued the real proportion of spaces, dimensions, and perspectives.
