The new Italgas Headquarters in Monselice, Veneto, consolidates administrative and operational functions within a single compact architectural body. The development includes approximately 1,200 sqm of office space and a 250 sqm warehouse.
The office block is articulated through the intersection of two superimposed rectangular volumes, with the upper level rotated 90 degrees relative to the base. This compositional gesture generates a first-floor terrace and a 16-meter cantilever forming a covered entrance, giving the building a clear yet controlled architectural identity.
The language is restrained and essential, enhanced by vertical cylindrical façade elements that modulate light and shadow. Perimeter walls extend beyond the roofline to form screening planes concealing technical systems and reinforcing volumetric clarity.
Sustainability is central to the project: approximately 60% of the building is constructed in timber, including structure, slabs and external walls. This strategy reduces environmental impact, shortens construction time and improves structural elasticity. Certified in Energy Class A1, the building integrates a high-performance envelope, a 6–10 kW photovoltaic system and advanced energy management systems.
