Ramselyckan brings 81 homes to Gökegård in Öjersjö, near Gothenburg. Designed by Okidoki for HSB Göteborg, the development combines the qualities of a private house with the convenience and shared amenities of apartment living.
Eight paired buildings are arranged in a fan-shaped layout, opening towards the surrounding landscape. Their angled placement reduces overlooking and creates space between neighbours. Timber façades in traditional red and ochre draw on Swedish cottages and barns, giving the development a familiar character at a different scale.
The slender building volumes give every apartment windows in at least two directions. Aligned rooms, doors and windows create long views through the homes and towards the landscape. Generous balconies extend the living spaces outdoors, while their railings balance daylight and privacy by changing in appearance with the viewing angle. Entrance balconies include individual storage benches, adding a practical, domestic detail to the shared circulation spaces.
Shared gardens, growing plots, play areas and a communal barbecue space provide opportunities to meet. A flexible common room and guest accommodation extend what residents can do beyond their own apartments. The project also incorporates ideas developed through HSB Living Lab, including a more welcoming recycling room designed to encourage sorting and care for shared facilities.
Ramselyckan combines these everyday qualities with environmental measures including ground source heating, solar panels and electric vehicle charging. The project is certified under the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.
