Located on one of Lisbon's most iconic avenues, next to Eduardo VII Park—the city's large green lung—this 1947 building underwent extensive renovation, in a process that balanced heritage preservation with the functional and aesthetic updates necessary for a luxury residential building.

The project integrated different areas of action: the renovation of common areas, the refurbishment of several apartments, and the parking lot. All proposals were implemented with the aim of giving the building a new lease on life, without ever losing its original identity.

Classified as Municipal Heritage in the Heritage Charter, the building presented several technical and regulatory limitations that required careful architectural solutions. The intervention respected the existing structure and the most characteristic architectural elements, reinterpreting them in a contemporary way to meet current demands for comfort, sophistication, and functionality.

The design concept was based on enhancing the modernist elegance of the original building, introducing noble materials, durable construction solutions, and flexible layouts that reinforce the spatial quality. The updating of the infrastructure and the introduction of more energy-efficient solutions also reflect a concern for sustainability and the adaptation of the building to the future.

In addition to its architectural value, the project has a significant impact on the community: it redevelops an urban heritage site of great significance, improves the quality of housing in a prime area of the city, and contributes to the preservation and enhancement of Lisbon's historical heritage.

A heritage reinterpreted in light of contemporary demands, this project is an exercise in architecture that is attentive to its time, place, and people.
