Considered as a very first innovative co-working space for startup companies in Vietnam, the 8 storey green office building is located at Ho Chi Minh City District 3 central area and invested by Ho Chi Minh City Government with total investment of nearly 18 million dollars. Total GFA of 16,000 sqm provides mixed spaces for events, working, conference as well as re-enforcing the development and collaboration between startup companies not only in Ho Chi Minh City but also the whole country. Innovation and Startup Hub was certified for EDGE Green Building.
By incorporating modern technologies such as prefabricated GRC panels for external shading devices, low-E coated glass, solar photovoltaics, energy-saving appliances such as LED lightbulbs and water-efficient sanitary features, Start-up Hub was able to significantly reduce its energy and water consumption, resulting in a more sustainable construction project with low carbon footprint.
The next architectural technique is to create depth changes on the vertical elements with a green balcony system that creates recessed areas on the vertical surface, increasing green space for the project while combining with the concave details of the GRC panels to create different-sized and deep shadow areas, creating a continuous impression of movement and change. In general, the overall project is a very organic combination of functionality and form, providing users with strong and stimulating impressions, yet also very comfortable for creativity.
Since the idea of establishing a creative startup center in the country's largest city was initiated, there have been many opinions from the community with expectations for an intelligent architectural project with sufficient infrastructure to serve startup ideas and be worthy of being the hub for startups. Before starting the design, the architects had determined that this would have to be a project that reflects the spirit of innovation, meets international standards, and expresses the digital cultural values of the 21st century.
