MA House is a 340 sqm garden duplex in Fenerbahçe, a leafy coastal neighbourhood on Istanbul's Asian side. Designed for a young family, it was conceived as a home that feels sincere, soft and inherently liveable.

The two levels are organised around connection and privacy. The upper floor holds the living room, an open-plan kitchen and a terrace; below, a second living room opens directly to the garden, alongside the master suite and two children's rooms, each with its own bathroom.

The living area is anchored by a sculptural wall where smooth plaster meets handmade terracotta tiling. Floating shelves frame an integrated screen, and low seating gathers around paired coffee tables in marble and glass. The adjoining study shifts in mood: deep green panelling wraps the room, and a yellow lacquered desk becomes its quiet focal point. Timber shutters filter daylight across wide oak floors throughout.

The palette draws on mid-century sensibilities — warm woods, terracotta, brushed metal and textured plaster — with glossy and matte surfaces set against each other. Much of the furniture and joinery was designed by the studio. The result is a home that does not ask for attention, but rewards slow, everyday living.
