Set within Ahmedabad’s Transit Oriented Development Zone, Navratna Corporate Park by INI Design Studio responds to the shifting dynamics of contemporary work with an architecture rooted in flexibility, sustainability, and urban identity. Positioned on a prominent 10,000 square meter corner plot, the complex is composed of two striking 70-meter towers that rise as a new landmark in the city’s commercial skyline. Their form composed of stacked volumes wrapped in double-skin high-performance glazing, hosts premium workspaces while integrating biophilic breakouts, advanced infrastructure, and environmentally responsible systems.
Stacked glass volumes with a biophilic spine
The twin towers feature offset, interlocking masses framed by a metallic panel system. Vertical glass fins and ceramic frit-coated double-glazed units form a passive shading layer, enhancing thermal performance while giving the façade a rhythmic texture. Between the two wings, vertical green walls animate shared breakout lobbies, bringing nature directly into elevated common zones and providing moments of visual and spatial relief from dense work areas.
Retail frontage and adaptable office modules
At street level, the project anchors itself to the urban fabric with a high-visibility commercial zone. Retail tenants benefit from dedicated frontage and footfall, while above, corporate offices occupy customisable modules ranging from 2,000 to 20,000 square feet. Each tower provides its own private drop-off and lift core, allowing businesses to maintain distinct identities while sharing the benefits of a connected corporate campus.
Environmental strategy embedded in form
Navratna Corporate Park achieves high energy efficiency through a layered system of sustainable technologies. Solar PV systems generate renewable energy on-site, while IE3 motors power high-efficiency pumping systems for HVAC and water services. Wastewater is treated using an MBBR-type STP and reused for landscaping, further reducing the building’s operational footprint. Rainwater harvesting wells and LED lighting systems round out the complex’s low-consumption strategy.
A responsive workplace for the post-pandemic era
As flexible work norms function as the new standard, the design avoids the rigidity of traditional cubicle typologies. The campus fosters interaction and well-being with open breakout zones, café lounges, and semi-outdoor spaces. Large operable windows and expansive daylighting enhance interior air quality and comfort. This promotes a healthy and productive working environment while reinforcing the building’s adaptive identity.
