“Up for Anything” is a nod to the height of the Zalmhaven Tower apartment and the courage of its female owner. High above Rotterdam, Lagrand Interior Design created an apartment that combines spectacular panoramic views with an exclusive, refined interior. The empty new building has been transformed into a warm, layered home with distinctive details and a soft, feminine signature.
The private foyer serves as a personal entrance, separate from the main entrance, and immediately sets the tone for the interior. Layered wall decorations in warm reds and powdery tones combine with soothing, natural materials, creating depth and balance. Carefully selected elements – a sculptural wooden object, a bench with varying textures and a custom-made door with soft curves – enrich the space. The unique artwork gives the foyer a subtle artistic expression and character.
Layered Peace
The kitchen forms the heart of the apartment and is designed around a rounded kitchen island in warm wood with an expressive marble top. The marble extends into the backsplash, creating a sense of calm and unity, while glazed tiles under the bar counter add a refined touch of color and texture. Rounded custom cabinets with hammered handles soften the architecture and emphasize the flowing lines. Large windows let in plenty of natural light, connecting the kitchen with the city views.
The dining room forms an intimate space within the open living room, where coral-colored chairs and layered textures add warmth and character. The expansive city views make this a place where the urban panorama slowly unfolds, allowing time to pass effortlessly.
The bar furniture, refined in detail, acts as an elegant intermediate element that naturally connects living and entertaining.
The lounge and movie corner is designed for long evenings together, with comfort and a cozy atmosphere as the guiding principles. A layered rug connects the colors, while the sofa with a woven leather back acts as a focal point in the room.
Boudoir revisited
The custom-designed, open-plan layout creates a single space where sleeping, dressing and relaxing seamlessly merge. The boudoir vibe is expressed in the rich colour palette, fringed wallpaper and custom-made wardrobes with bamboo handles and fabric-covered glass doors.
The bedroom forms the sensual heart, with floral wallpaper on real wood veneer, jacquard curtains and deep hues. Pendant lamps upholstered in copper fabric and sculptural bedside tables add a touch of couture luxury.
In the bathroom, three types of natural stone, a stone border, the purple transparent bathtub and curved marble sinks with bamboo faucets create a sensual and artisanal look.
Both toilets are designed as distinctive worlds and serve as eye-catchers in the interior.
The suite’s toilet exudes sophistication, with hand-carved marble and playful, high-quality wallpaper adding depth and layering.
In the shared toilet, funky wall coverings, three-dimensional tiles and a faucet with an onyx ball provide a surprising, sculptural accent.
The common room offers a refined reception area, where luxurious wallpaper on the ceiling and a pearl like wall lamp immediately set the tone. A display cabinet with a view of the office leads the eye further and reveals the cityscape at the entrance.
