This is a plan for a POP-UP store for HUNTING WORLD CRAFTED BY DESCENTE.LAB, a new brand by HUNTING WORLD and DESCENTE.
The site is located at the entrance of Fujii Daimaru, the department store in Kyoto which has a long tradition. In order to encourage people to stay on the street, the racks were placed at a 45 degree angle so as not to make people aware of the boundary with the section.
Inspired by the bags that protect luggage in harsh environments, which are representative of HUNTING WORLD, air cushioning was selected as the key material. Since the diameter of the air cushion and the scaffolding pipe are almost the same, the air cushion is attached by gripping it with a scaffolding pipe clamp.
The brand logo of a baby elephant, which signifies the protection of nature and endangered species, was applied to the uneven surface.
In addition, a stockroom was installed in the compartment to make operations more efficient and reduce customer waiting time. The partitions are made of safety steel plates (construction barricades), and the corners are connected with circular parts instead of using corner materials to unify the overall cornerless appearance.
