The Project required the renovation of an existing facility into the new Jaguar Land Rover Dealership in Lima – Peru, according to the new brand identity. It is the first facility in Latin America, proposed under these guidelines. It includes a Showroom and Customer Area, Sales and Merchandising, Handover, Drop-off and Collection, Service Workshop and a Parking Area. In accordance to the displayed product, both brands demand a dramatic architecture based on the client’s perception, which must be able to stand out from their competitors. The design bases then on three essential principles, transparency, flexibility and modularity. The challenge consisted in being able to adapt these pillars into an existing structure, transmitting confidence, quality and permanency. While at the same time, provide an iconic element, which will stand out from the urban landscape. The façade main material are aluminum composite panels with specifically designed colors and cladding system made for Jaguar Land Rover. The panels arranged in a modular and symmetrical way in both the vertical and horizontal sense, including the external glazing system; allow the required transparency towards the interior and at the same time provide a proper insulation for a more efficient energy consumption. A central customer area divides the 635sqm of the showroom in the most symmetrical way possible. The area has been entirely refurbished to provide a geometric, clear and impact interior image. The lighting is linear, continuous, with a low consumption LED system and suspended in a perpendicular way from the façade. It permits a natural, comfortable and relaxing lighting, similar to natural light. On the other hand, the Handover area has a more scenographic proposal with black interiors and a more dramatic lighting system. The customer lounge, sales, merchandising and services areas hold the same image of major quality, geometry and high impact required by the brands and present all around the adjacent showroom area. The 1,365sqm of the Drop-off, Collection and Service Workshop have been entirely renew and proposed respecting the high quality requests from both brands. Properly oriented skylights divide the area’s ceiling providing natural light and ventilation.
